CEH is a Top 7 RB

Dynasty Guide with Top 300 Rankings and Top 50 Rookie Rankings

With Damien Williams opting out of the 2020 season, Clyde Edwards-Helaire has moved into my top 7 RBs for fantasy football 2020.

“Clyde has legitimate top 3 upside”

Every fantasy player knows that an RB can only reach his full potential if given the correct opportunity, generally in a high-powered offense; positive game scripts, more red zone opportunities, and less stacked boxes are the results of such an offense. The Kansas City Chiefs backfield is arguably the best landing spot for a fantasy football running back, playing under head coach Andy Reid and alongside super bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs have averaged 32 points per game in the past 2 seasons under the HC and QB duo, the most in the NFL. When Mahomes is under center, the starting RB for the Chiefs averages 1.72 touchdowns per game.

Kareem Hunt, Duce Staley, Brian Westbrook, Jamaal Charles, and LeSean McCoy all finished as top 10 RB’s in their first season under Reid. He knows how to make the most of his RBs. I’m projecting Clyde to follow in these guys footsteps, finishing well within the top 10.

CEH was selected with the 32nd overall pick in the 2020 draft. There is a clear correlation between draft capital and rookie RB fantasy performances. Here are some names of 1st round RB’s that produced in their rookie seasons: Josh Jacobs, Saquon Barkley, Leonard Fournette, Christian McCaffrey, Ezekiel Elliott. The list goes on, and will soon include Clyde Edward-Helaire’s.

Everything is there for Clyde to be a top 10 RB this season, who has legitimate top 3 upside. I’m hoping to take Clyde at around the 1-2 turn in my PPR fantasy drafts.
