Waiver Adds: Week 3

Every Tuesday, myself and @fantasypollsnow will give you our top recommended waiver adds for the week. Our waiver adds include any player who is available in at least 50% or more of Yahoo Leagues ]. Although we may make an exception on players who are really close to that threshold. Below are our top waiver adds heading into week 3. Some of these guys we had as adds before the start of the season last week, so hopefully some of you already grabbed them. Be sure to check back weekly.

It’s looking like this is the week Devonta Freeman gets signed, so therefore he’s worth an add. He might not be great, but him on the Giants would be worth rostering and he could provide flex numbers.

MIKE DAVIS [ 7% Owned ]
Week 2: 1 ATT / 1 YARD / 8 TAR / 8 REC / 74 YDS
With CMC sidelined multiple weeks, Mike Davis is an absolute must own for everyone, especially people who own CMC. He showed promise in the receiving game and while I’m not expecting him to be the overall RB1, he can be a solid starter.

JOSHUA KELLEY [ 40% Owned ]
Week 2: 23 ATT / 64 YDS / 3 TAR / 2 REC / 49 YDS
I’d still rather have Ekeler, but it’s certain the workload will be distributed more evenly than we thought. Kelley has 37 touches through 2 weeks, and will likely continue to get the majority of the early down work.

Week 2: 339 YDS / 3 TD / 19 RUSH YDS
How many more weeks will we let Minshew sit on the waiver wire? If you need QB help look straight to him, as he has 20+ points in both of his first two games.

Week 2: 12 ATT / 81 YDS / TD / 3 TAR / 2 REC / 40 YDS
He played well in the Melvin Gordon role logging 12 rushes for 60 yards. It's very likely his role will continue to increase and push Ekeler to more of a 3rd down roll. He needs to be owned especially for those who drafted Ekeler.

RUSSELL GAGE [ 23% Owned ]
Week 2: 9 TAR / 6 REC / 46 YDS / TD
For the second straight week, Gage has produced. We saw Mohammed Sanu put up flex numbers last year with the Falcons, and it’s looking like Gage will do the same. It’s important to note that Julio almost caught a TD pass from him, which would have only improved his fantasy performance.

JERICK McKINNON [ 25% Owned ]
Week 2: 3 ATT / 77 YDS / TD
Reports are that Mostert sustained a mild MCL sprain, so McKinnon could have a chance to be very fantasy relevant. While Tevin Coleman will likely see the early down work, McKinnon has upside and we know Shanahan likes him.

RYAN TANNEHILL [ 46% Owned ]
Week 2: 239 YDS / 4 TD / 12 RUSH YDS
Averaging 23 PPG right now, Tannehill can be an absolute value for waivers, especially if you need a QB, whether a backup or starter right now. It’s looking like another efficient season for him.

ALLEN LAZARD [ 47% Owned ]
Week 2: 5 TAR / 3 REC / 45 YDS
He was a decent add last week, but now he will really need to step up if Adams is injured. I’m not desperate to acquire him, but if you need a WR badly then pick him up.

COREY DAVIS [ 42% Owned ]
Week 2: 5 TAR / 3 REC / 36 YDS / TD
With AJB out Davis has produced, averaging 14.9 PPG. His week 2 was saved my a TD, but he is a decent add if you need a WR.

N'KEAL HARRY [ 28% Owned ]
Week 2: 12 TAR / 8 REC / 72 YDS
Looking like a good WR option, we could finally be seeing the breakout from the former first round pick we have been expecting. He had 15 points and did not even score a TD, but I fully expect Cam to utilize him in the red zone. Pick him up, he has some of the most upside on the waiver wire right now.

DION LEWIS [ 6% Owned ]
Week 2: 10 ATT / 20 YDS / TD / 5 TAR / 4 REC / 36 YDS
With Saquon having a torn ACL, Lewis is another guy to add. He was the lead back with Saquon down, but it’s important to note that Wayne Gallman could be activated (or Devonta Freeman signed) and then Lewis wouldn’t be as valuable. While Davis is the clear Panthers lead back now, I don’t think Lewis will be the clear back.

JORDAN REED [ 7% Owned ]
Week 2: 8 TAR / 7 REC / 50 YDS / 2 TD
Mainly a target for Kittle owners, as he will produce with Kittle out. If Jonnu Smith or Mike Gesicki are somehow available in your league, I would target them instead. Look for TE1 numbers from Reed when Kittle is out though.
